Expandable Motion-Sensing Alert System

You don't need to spend thousands of dollars in order to hook up an easy-to-install basic security alert system. The Household Alert Motion Set is an expandable system that provides both visual and audible indicators when its wireless sensors detect a breach. Best of all, the Household Alert Motion Set is easy to set up, with the sensor alerting the receiver wirelessly. The motion sensor requires a 9-volt alkaline battery, sold separately.

Mount the motion sensor indoors or outdoors, anywhere you fear security may be breached. With its range of 300 feet, you'll be able to place the receiver in any convenient location in your home.

The included receiver will control up to four different sensors. Sold separately, you can add a Household Garage Door Alert Sensor (70-526) or a Household Door/Window Alert Sensor (70-529) for security, or a Household Water Alert Sensor (70-528) for water leaks. Additional motion sensors are also available. If you're planning to add a garage door sensor to receive notification should you leave this door open, you can save by purchasing the Household Alert Combination Set (70-521).

When multiple sensors are installed, only the corresponding zone LED will flash, so there will be no confusion. In addition, you'll know which zone is being triggered by the number of beeps emitted in succession. If you're planning to be working in an area that normally triggers your motion sensor, the audible alert can be muted easily.

When the monitored door, window, etc. is opened, the receiver will alert you. It will beep and flash. For zone 1, you will hear "beep, pause, beep, pause, beep,..." for zone 2, you will hear "beep, beep, pause, beep, beep, pause,...", etc. The beeping and flashing will continue until the magnet contact is returned to the sensor (monitored item closed). You can select the beeping volume to Hi, Low, or OFF; you can also press the Mute button if you know the contact is going to be open an extended period of time.
